Beautifully laminated providing a very durable, colorful and easy-to-read map. Driving in the Dominican Republic is not for the faint of heart, but anyone who does needs to have a GREAT map and this one sure is. The map does include the new by-pass around Santiago, the new autopista to Semana, and the bypass and autopista to Punta Cana. Also has great city maps of Santo Domingo, Colonial Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata and Punta Cana area. Also a great map for one who enjoys the Dominican Republic and simply wants a good map. Worth the money!
Except for detailed cameos of Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata, and Santiago the map is only useful for giving a general bird's-eye view of the roads on the island. You cannot use it to navigate by.
The way it should be. Basic info for all republic in English. Even a subway in capital clearly marked. Please dont expect everything be updated. General reference--yes. But no bus stations for all locations or currency exchange. Front page does says what to expect.
