The new editor does not do this nearly as well as previous versions. The teapots used in the pictures are mostly disappointing, compared with earlier years. Nothing special, nothing exciting, and the editor does not really seem to know much about tea customs, doesn't really understand the difference between High tea, afternoon tea, Elevenses and the nuances of tea generally. History of ceramics is also not this editor's specialty. .Having purchased this calendar faithfully since its inception, next year I probably won't.The photography is still beautiful, but what is pictured is mostly not worth it.
I have been buying these calendars every year for I don't know how long now! Please never stop making these it would break my heart! I collect teacups & teapots from England & enjoy looking at these gorgeous photos & love the tidbits of tea history! I used to buy these from a former bookstore (sadly extinct now) and was happy to find them on Amazon since I always buy 2 every year (1 for me & 1 for my friend's birthday). It's the only calendar I never throw away after the year is over!
